The Tamil Co-educational Society is encouraging the establishment of Mathematical Tamil Councils in colleges to develop a large number of Tamil language based software products.
In the digital age, the Tamil Internet Education Corporation of the Government of Tamil Nadu is making an effort to bring the Tamil script in print to digital technology.
In order to take the Tamil language to the next level, the Tamil Internet Education Institute is taking steps to provide training to students in this regard by starting an organization called the Mathematical Tamil Council at the university and college level.
Vision
To provide affordable quality education about computer and Tamil, while equipping students with knowledge and skills in their chosen stream, inculcate values, identify hidden talents, provide opportunities for students to realize their full potential and thus shape them into future leaders, entrepreneurs and above all good human beings.
Mission
To strive for quality education in keeping with the motto of the club, “Excellence in computer” and prepare young minds for imbibing knowledge, skills and sensitivity.
Objectives
- To guide Tamil computing projects / internships to students
- To conduct Tamil computing sensitization programmes to teaching faculties, students and community members
- To popularize the open source software and content
- To conduct 'Kani Tamil' Festival
- To guide the students to develop Tamil e-content / Applets / software
- To conduct summer course on Tamil computing
- To develop Tamil Mega Encyclopedia
